UMass Boston issues paper and Certified Electronic Diplomas (CeDiploma) diplomas & Post Master's Certificates/Certificates of Advanced Graduate Study (CeCertificate) after a degree has been awarded. Paper diplomas & digital credentials are created together.

Paper Diplomas: Are mailed via United States Postal Service (USPS) Ground Shipping to the diploma/mailing address listed in WISER as of your degree date*; tracking information is not available. 

• *Address updates must be made in WISER before your degree date (5/31, 8/31,12/31).In the event that is not possible, please contact the graduation team with your circumstances.
  • If you have moved since your degree date, please contact the US Post Office to ensure your mail is correctly forwarded.

CeDiploma/CeCertificate: Students who graduated in May 2020 or after will receive an invitation email with a link to purchase and download your digital credential from our trusted partner, CeCredential Trust® approximately 6 weeks after your graduation date. The link in the invitation email will expire after 14 days, if yours expires you can resend yourself a new invitation. CeDiplomas/CeCertificates cost $17.95.

Special Notes about Paper Diplomas & CeDiploma/CeCertificate:

• The paper diploma measures 8.5”x11”
• CeDiploma/CeCertificates: UMass Boston Alumni who graduated prior to May 31, 2020, please visit the Alumni diploma request page to purchase.
• Replacement diplomas are also ordered via the Alumni diploma request page 

How to Access Your Digital Diploma or Certificate:

You will receive an email with a link to download your credential when it is available from our trusted partner, CeCredential Trust®. To request a new download link, please use the CeCredential Trust site to resend the link.
